Starting in 2002, Caroline Diani opened the first of her stores, Diani Boutique located in Arlington Plaza, next to Carlitos Cantina. My first experience with Caroline began with her outfitting my senior class for our National Charity League Senior showcase in 2009. Popularity grew and she expanded opening her Diani Shoes store, and then came her passion for interior design. With her third store opening in 2013, Diani Living, she began her business of updating and renovating homes. Having had a part in multiple homes scattered across the Santa Barbara Area, Caroline has expanded her business to New York where she shares her time between studios.

GARDE SHOP
Founded in 2012 by Scotti Stiz and John Davidson have been featured in publications such as Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, and our very own Santa Barbara Magazine. At their second-floor hospitality space GARDE HOUSE. Available as an Airbnb rental starting in August, the 1,000-square-foot apartment is complete with a slew of GARDE wares—all available for purchase—that change seasonally. With a serious yet whimsical style, Garde Shop certainly can inspire. Also, make sure to check out the silkie chickens in the coop in the back!

Owner, Molly Hutto grew up on the beaches of Southern California and developed an early appreciation for clean, classic, natural beauty. With a background in floral design and a lifelong love of gardening and interior design, Molly has been the creative force behind Botanik's acclaimed succulent gardens for over 17 years. Originally hired as a delivery driver in 2000, two years after the business opened, Molly soon became invaluable to the company. In 2015 the original owner decided to retire from retail so it was only natural that Molly is the new solo force behind the boutique.
Hutto artfully blends her vintage finds with rare orchids, custom succulent gardens, textiles, the latest garden and interior design books, candles, pillows (made exclusively at Botanik), furniture, and unique accessories.”
